威盛下半年將再推出與VIA WM8880接腳完全相容（pin to pin）的雙核心VIA WM8860及四核心VIA WM8888等新晶片，雖然採用ARM Cortex-A7核心，但因採用40奈米製程，運算效能及價格同樣優於競爭同業。此外，威盛也將在明年初推出首款六核心處理器VIA WM9002晶片，採用28奈米製程生產，搭載ARM OWL雙核心及Cortex-A7四核心的大小核（big.LITTLE）架構。
業界認為，這次威盛已找到商業模式，技術藍圖清楚，價格也夠殺，相信很快就能在低價平板市場搶回市占率。
