團體籲發展香港機場所在大嶼山島

香港機場所在的大嶼山島，一直未有開發，地方團體呼籲配套發展。

香港大嶼山發展聯盟主席哈永安建議，大嶼山多建酒店和大型購物商場，留住旅客。

哈永安說，大嶼山無配套，因此旅客抵港後不會留在大嶼山消費，而是湧出市區觀光購物。香港正面對接待力不足但旅客人數上升的矛盾，大嶼山可做緩衝。

他說，有報告指大嶼島上鄰近機場的東涌，是最窮地區，很多居民不在本區就業，希望未來東涌發展可以增加商用空間，提供地區就業機會，減少現時大部分東涌居民要跨區工作的情況。
